Dean A. McConnell

mwb Dean McConnell is the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Colorado for the 2026 term.

Most Worshipful Brother Dean McConnell has lived in the Greater Metropolitan Denver Area in Colorado his whole life. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in 1986 and his Juris Doctorate degree in 1989, both degrees earned at the University of Denver.

He was raised a Master Mason in Albert Pike Lodge No. 117 (now merged with Marquis de Lafayette Lodge No. 41) in Denver in October of 2009. He served as Worshipful Master 2015, the year in which the lodge earned the Outstanding Large Lodge of the Year award and earned Honor Lodge recognition for the first time in the lodge’s history. He served as the Treasurer of Albert Pike Lodge and subsequently Marquis de Lafayette lodge from 2018 to 2023. He was appointed as District Lecturer of District #52 (Colorado) in 2016 and served through 2025. He was appointed to the Grand Lodge of Colorado to serve as Grand Marshal in 2019 by Most Worshipful Brother Ralph E. Newby.

Most Worshipful Brother Dean has been active in El Jebel Shrine, serving as its Chair of the Jurisprudence committee for many years and as a Past Chieftain of the El Jebel Pipe Band. He is a Past Master of Kadosh for the Consistory line at The Denver Consistory and participates in numerous degrees. He is also a York Rite member as well.
