In some versions of the 14th Degree, Abdamon is the name of the orator in the Rite of Perfection, or the Sacred Vault of James VI.
The name "Abdamon" translates to "a servant", from abad, “to serve,” although somewhat corrupted in its transmission into the rituals. According to Mackey, "Lenning says it is the Hebrew Habdamon , a servant but there is no such word in Hebrew." [1]
