Conference of Grand Secretaries in North America

From The Masonic Wiki

The Conference of Grand Secretaries in North America (commonly abbreviated COGSNA) commonly meets in connection with Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America.

Grand Secretaries are responsible for much of the administrative continuity of Grand Lodges. Their conference permits discussion of matters such as:

  • membership records;
  • proceedings and publications;
  • Lodge charters;
  • communications among jurisdictions;
  • recognition records;
  • administrative technology;
  • annual returns;
  • archival preservation; and
  • Grand Lodge office procedures.

Although closely associated in scheduling and subject matter, the Conference of Grand Secretaries maintains its own functions and organizational identity.
